Deborah Kendrick expressed at the NFB Chapter meeting on June 27 that she was unable to set up a P.O. Box for the Chapter due to other commitments. Christopher Sabine has had extensive discussions with two past members, John Christianson and Marion King, regarding their participation in the chapter.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>John is currently a resident of the Autobine Community in Lebanon. While he has attended some meetings in the past, he indicated that coordinating transportation from Lebanon is very difficult. He indicated that there is at least one other visually impaired resident at Autobine. Pat Eschbach, who is currently affiliated with the Miami Valley Chapter, is also a resident of the community.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Marion King, another longtime member, also expressed interest in staying abreast of membership activities. However, she indicated that she is unable to physically attend meetings because of age and mobility limitations. Marion expressed appreciation for reaching out to her.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Christopher agreed to connect with Paul Dressell and see if he could connect with both these members on a regular basis to keep them abreast of Chapter activities, as both members are well acquainted with the Dressels. Christopher also agreed to ask Paul if he has any contacts at Autobine or other retirement communities who could be willing to share information and coordinate transportation to Chapter meetings.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Dale expressed that we should have a “movie night” at Clovernook to introduce employees and others to the Federation. Lisa expressed that Scott Walters, Clovernook’s current Orientation & Mobility specialist, has a library of audio described movies that could be shown.
