<div>Greetings NFB!</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>It warms my heart to share with great people like you,
that I am the recipient of the 2016 Employee of the year
with the Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually
Impaired! It was truly an honor to be the recipient of this
award for the first time in 2003, and now for the second
time for 2016!</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>As a result of winning this award, I look very forward to
attending a legislative conference sometime in May, speaking
with members of Congress the importance of people who are
blind achieving competitive employment, and meaningful
independence, just like people who are sighted!</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Sometime in October, I will be attending the National
Industries for the Blind Conference and Convention! Since
there are at least 600 associated agencies just like CABVI
affiliated with NIB, I anticipate attending a huge
convention, filled with employment and advocacy related
workshops. There will be tour's, and so much more!</div>
<div>Both of these Conferences will take place in our Nations
Capital!</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>I had the honors of attending the 2003 NIB Conference in
Fort Worth Texas, where I met our dear friends for life,
Karen Ennis, and Sue Wesley! It was so much fun hanging with
these 2 wonderful people, along with Jen DuBois, John
Mitchell, Hank Baud, Kathy Good, Steve Wessler, and so many
great Conference attendees!</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>We all had so much fun touring Dallas and Fort-Worth,
visiting the Texas Wildlife Zoo, and attending lots of
workshops and parties!</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>My favorite part of the entire convention was
participating on a panel discussion, expressing the
importance of people who are blind holding down a job, and
indipendent living. There were 2 other panelist's, 1 from
Madison Wisconsin, and the other from Winston-Salem North
Carolina. The moderator is from Kansas-City, and is
currently on the board with the National Beep Baseball
Association.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>I also get the opportunity to speak at the annual spring
board meeting of the Cincinnati Association for the Blind
and Visually Impaired! Much of my remarks will be based on
the importance of doing your best work, and team building!</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>It sincerely warms my heart to express to you that it
took so many great friends and family like you to get me
this point in my journey! This war on Moyamoya, and knowing
that my sweet Jacque suffers so much isn't easy by any
means. Putting 40 hours of work per week, plus advocating
with various blindness related organizations right on top of
fighting the war on Moyamoya seems so impossible! However, I
am a firm believer that today's obstacles can become
tomorrow's opportunities whenever all people work hard
together to achieve equality!</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>The least I can do is thank you from the heart! Together
we will stand throughout every storm!</div>
