The legal case surrounds a discrimination claim on the basis of violating the Americans With Disabilities Act pertaining to reasonable accommodations for a blind employee. The potential settlement donation would be approximately $25,000. I have considered leader dogs as well as the Lions Club. I also believe that the Cincinnati chapter of the NFB would be a worthy recipient of such a donation. </div><div id="AppleMailSignature"><br></div><div id="AppleMailSignature">Question one: where would I obtain information regarding the Cincinnati chapter of the NFB? What I'm looking for is any printed material that the opposing side can read and review that outlines the mission statement and the purpose for this chapter as well as anything that highlights recent accomplishments throughout the past few years. </div><div id="AppleMailSignature">Question two: how would such a large donation be divided among all of the various committees and activities that the Cincinnati chapter of the NFB manages each calendar year?</div><div id="AppleMailSignature"><br></div><div id="AppleMailSignature">I know you're going to be laying around for a bit to recover. Laying around in no way shape or form diminishes the capacity of the mind to want something interesting to think about. It is my hope that pondering what we might do with these funds should they come our way, would keep you busy and anxious and innovative. <p dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">I apologize for sending a message to the whole list which should actually only go to a few, but I</font></span><span lang="en-us"> <font face="Calibri">have limited time for doing anything on the laptop and can’t find a list</font></span><span lang="en-us"> <font face="Calibri">o</font></span><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">f the book club members.</font></span></p>

<p dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">As I think most of you know, my femur suddenly snapped December 1, and I have been in the hospital since.</font></span></p>
<p dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">I</font></span><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">t was quite a trauma to both body and mind, but the love from kind friends have helped tremendously in the whole recovery pr</font></span><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">ocess. </font></span></p>
<p dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">I will not be able to put weight on my left leg for another 8 to 12 weeks, but I was introduced to a wheelchair yesterday, and have done tons of smiling while learning use it.</font></span></p>
<p dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">The question that has arisen has to do with book club timing. </font></span></p>
<p dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">Visitors and phone calls have been at least as essential as medication and nutrition in knitting my bod</font></span><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">y back together. </font></span></p>
<p dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">(One of those visitors was Judy Rudig, and one of the phone calls Alan Lemly. I thank both of you from the bottom of my heart.) </font></span></p>
<p dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">Tomorrow, I will be missing CABVI’s annual holiday party, which I always attend as a board trustee. I will be sad to miss it.</font></span><span lang="en-us"></span></p>
<p dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">A little while ago, CABVI’s CEO John Mitchell called to ask if he and another board member or two could bring the party to me when it is over.</font></span></p>
<p dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">I am thrilled and touched by this gesture, and of course I said yes. </font></span></p>
<p dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">I am writing to ask if book club membe</font></span><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">rs would be willing to begin our meeting at 8:00 PM rather than 7:00 because of this unplanned visit. </font></span></p>
<p dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">I will be very grateful if you can adjust your schedules accordingly. </font></span></p>
<p dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">I hope all of you are having a wonderful Christmas sea</font></span><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">son. </font></span></p>
