<div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">A few have asked for an update on me and thus I am writing this message. First, I want</font></span><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri"> publicly to thank Judy Rudig and Annie McEachirn, our WeCare team, for making me feel so valued and connected. </font></span></div>
<div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">Coming to Florida to recover was necessary both because I could not function as a wheelchair user in a fo</font></span><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">ur-story townhouse and, secondly, my daughter lives 2 miles from me here and I often need help.</font></span></div>
<div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">In the beginning, I experienced what genuine helplessness looks like and I did not embrace it very graciously.</font></span></div>
<div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">Each day, I have inc</font></span><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">reased ability and energy and Although there is a certain satisfaction in learning to dance around in my wheelchair,</font></span><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">I fervently hope my time in it is coming to an end sometime soon.</font></span></div>
<div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">Next week, I will find out if my bone has healed sufficie</font></span><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">ntly to allow my weight-bearing therapy to begin. No one seems able to tell me how long it takes from beginning weight-bearing to actual walking, but I’m guessing a month or two.</font></span></div>
<div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">My daughter is dr</font></span><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">iving to Cincinnati as I write this. The plan is that she will begin packing up my apartment, bringing some items here to Florida, and leaving the rest for movers to put into storage. As soon as I am able, I will be coming to Cincinnati to find a new place to</font></span><span lang="en-us"> <font face="Calibri">live.</font></span><span lang="en-us"></span></div>
<div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">My next place will be much smaller, so I am eliminating as much as possible. If anyone is looking for any small pi</font></span><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">eces of furniture or small appliances, do please let me</font></span><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri"></font></span><span lang="en-us"> <font face="Calibri">know. Chances are I have what you need and will sell</font></span><span lang="en-us"> <font face="Calibri">at a very low price!</font></span></div>
<div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">But she will only be there for a few days, so don’t mull it over for too long!</font></span></div>
<div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">If you have ever wondered how a person in a wheelchair can load the dishwasher or do the laundry,</font></span><span lang="en-us"> <font face="Calibri">I can now tell you. The answer is very very very slowly! Tasks that usually take me five minutes can easily occupy a few hours and leave me exhausted.</font></span></div>
<div dir="LTR"><span lang="en-us"><font face="Calibri">It is all, however, interesting</font></span><span lang="en-us"> <font face="Calibri">and enlightening and material for future writing.</font></span></div>
