Mike and I made nine appointments to Senator offices today. We first focused on the members of both the Judiciary and Rules and Reference Committees, and of course Senator Obhof’s office. We then started on the rest of the Rules committee. We went to Senator Peterson’s office, who is the Vice Chair of the Rules and Reference Committee. He happened to be between meetings at the time of our arrival and he gave us four minutes to pitch our speech. That is all we needed, and we won him over! It was awesome. After that we went to Senator Kunse, who has OSSB in her district, and then to Senator Yuko’s office. This is where we got the greatest news. The email had just been sent out by Senator Obhof’s office that Wednesday’s session will be held after all!

Tomorrow is another day, and we are not done yet. We plan to visit the rest of the Rules Committee, and then as many other offices as we can fit into the day. On Wednesday, we will be at the Rules and Reference Committee meeting at 11:00 AM and then of course, when the bill gets on the agenda, be at the Senate session at 1:30 PM.

Mike can fill in anything I forgot, but it has been an extremely productive day.

Stay tuned for more!

Best Regards,

Sheri Albers
