Glamorous words and sparkling drinks would not be enough to tell you how much this is of a void for me as the president. The vice president of any group have great responsibility’s but the one which sticks out to me is to be in tune with the president and help to lead the organization. You were able to take orders, give them and communicate issues that needed an extra understanding. People will derive to what ever conclusion they wish but, in my mind,, you were and always be one of the best. This is also not good by but until we have the chance to work together again. We wish you the best and the NFBO is in your corner.

From: Sheri Albers
Sent: Thursday, November 14, 2019 10:06 AM
To: 'NFB of Ohio Announcement and Discussion List' <ohio-talk@nfbnet.org>; 'NFB of Ohio Cincinnati Chapter List' <cinci-nfb@nfbnet.org>
Cc: Richard Payne <rchpay7@gmail.com>; 'Eric Duffy' <peduffy63@gmail.com>; Sherry Ruth <Babyruth2@windstream.net>; barbara.pierce9366@gmail.com; Carolyn Peters <DrCarolyn.Peters@gmail.com>; 'Cheryl Fields' <cherylelaine1957@gmail.com>; Dave Bertsch <dwbertsch@hotmail.com>; 'Suzanne Turner' <smturner.234@gmail.com>; william.h.turner@ssa.gov; Annette Lutz <AnnetteLutz@att.net>; 'Sheri Albers' <sheri.albers87@gmail.com>
Subject: A message from Sheri

Hello NFB of Ohio,

As I have shared with President Payne, I am writing this morning to let you know that I have accepted a job opportunity which will take me out of the state of Ohio, and therefore, I have had to resign my position as Vice President of the Ohio Affiliate of the National Federation of the Blind.

As of December 2, 2019, I will be the Community Outreach Coordinator for the Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired in San Francisco. If any of you were able to hear Bryan Bashin’s speech at national convention, you will know what I mean.

As much as I have the excitement of moving into this new career, I have a myriad of emotions that go along with it. What you need to know is, my life would never have been the same, had I never met each and every one of you. For the last sixteen years of being a member of NFBO, I feel that all my experiences with you have made it possible for me to secure this job, and even more than that, to turn my dream into a reality!

I do not like saying goodbye, so I will just say, “We will talk!” I do want to thank you for the support you have given me, for the lessons you have taught me and for the love that you have shown me.
