Please distribute the following message as widely as appropriate.

Dear Fellow Federationists,

Please take a few minutes to read this message concerning the new method of joining meetings of the National Association of Guide Dog Users (NAGDU). Beginning with the next NAGDU board of directors meeting to be held on Sunday, January 13, we will be using the popular and highly accessible Zoom Cloud Meeting platform. This will give us more options to join meetings, the opportunity to host webinars, and the ability to share audio/visual information in real time.

NAGDU BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

First things First: The next meeting of the NAGDU board will still be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern (7:00 p.m. Central; 6:00 p.m. Mountain, & 5:00 p.m. Pacific). As usual, anyone wishing to observe these meetings is welcome to do so; however, since it is a board of directors’ meeting, only members of the board may make and vote on motions. Time is allotted for guest input during meetings.

NAGDU TOWN HALL MEETING

In addition, the board of directors would like to invite you to join us for a NAGDU Town hall meeting. This meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern (7:00 p.m. Central; 6:00 p.m. Mountain; & 5:00 p.m. Pacific). The purpose of this meeting is to give you the chance to learn more about the current work of NAGDU, our plans for the future, and offer you – our members – the opportunity to help us plan the future of the most dynamic membership organization of guide dog users in the United States! More information about this Town Hall meeting will be sent under separate cover.

USING ZOOM

Although traditional conference call dialing is available, we recommend using the free Zoom app for the best audio quality and functionality. The app is easy to use and is available on iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, and Mac.

If you don't already have the app installed, you will be prompted to do so when activating the below Zoom link. Installing the app ahead of time will give you the opportunity to customize it to your preference.
