Hello beth,

Thanks for sending this note to the list. I hadn't heard of any
student from metro that was injured on the light rail recently on
the news at all... well, I guess that I had missed the news
lately or something. Any what I have done in using the light rail
from aururia campus is in using my hearing to hear the bells and
whistles of the trains. I do use my earbuds on the train to
listen to my mp3 player or I talk on my phone but, I can hear the
announcements on the train with my other ear.

But, I have when going over to the other side of the tracks to
cross I use my hears to listen for the sounds of the train but,
I'm very careful when crossing over the tracks because I have
fallen on the tracks.

But, most people are very helpful to me when I'm crossing over
the tracks and all. Thanks for this information and, I will talk
to you soon.

Hugs,
amy

Subject: [Colorado-talk] lite rail safety

Hi, everyone.
I know this list is quiet, but has anyone heard that a Metro
student was injured on the Lite Rail? I've had some close calls
with trains, but still. I'm so determined not to be annihilated
by a train that sometimes I get a bit too much and too fast.
The key to lite rail safety that I find essential is listen to
bells, and don't text or use headphones while on the lite rail
property. That's what I got in an e-mail, and I apologize for
forwarding that message because I forgot that the e-mail address
I was forwarding and that was not on this list. Anyway,
thoughts?
Beth
