[Colorado-talk] Sendero/Seeing Eye GPS App

I bought this app as well. So far, I think it has potential but it's not
there yet. As far as I know, there's no look-around mode while driving and,
currently there's no way to add points of interest though I'm sure this will
be coming. I like Ariadne GPS for identification of where I am, particularly
when I'm on the bus and the driver isn't calling the stops. It's saved some
walking. In Seeing Eye, the maps feature isn't accessible at all and I'm not
sure why they included it other than for someone who may have some vision.
Currently with the ap, I can walk around and get street names and near-by
points of interest and create routes to and from points of interest that are
already in the system to home. I hope this is helpful and gives people some
idea of what the Seeing Eye ap will do. I'm looking forward to hearing
Chris' thoughts.

Hey guys,
Here is Chris Foster from Minnisota. At this time, there is no way to run
it on a trial basis. Because I am a total tech head, I've eaten the money
and paid for a 1-year subscription. I will have need of it as soon as
tomorrow and will certainly try to post feedback up here on the list so you
guys can get some user opinions rather than just company publicity. Good to
see as many of you as I did while in Orlando. Take care all, Chris Foster

Subject: [Colorado-talk] Sendero/Seeing Eye GPS App

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone's tried out the new Sendero/Seeing Eye GPS app that
I believe was mentioned at convention this year? I downloaded it and noted
that while the app was free, it requests a "subscription"
that costs $70 per year. Before I drop that kind of money, I'd like to get
some consumer feedback first. Is there any way to run it temporarily as a
free trial? If you have tried it out, would you recommend it?

Thanks,
Arielle
