FYI I know that some of our members use wheelchairs. It is important to
give this company perspective on how a blind person uses a chair.

Best,
Scott

Subject: [Alerts] Disability Community Meeting on Wheelchair Issues with ATG
Rehab

Dear CCDC Members and Others:

Many of you know that ATG Rehab and United Seating and Mobility, the
remaining two DME companies in Denver that do complex rehab (aka wheelchairs
that are decent and made for people who use them full time) have merged.
CCDC had some concerns about the lack of competition, and also wanted to see
some commitments and improvements with repair and loaners.

ATG President Michele Longo and her new team were very receptive to our
requests. They would like to meet with the community for the following
purposes:

1) ATG wants to hear from you--the good, bad and ugly--your experiences
with wheelchair purchase and repairs. This includes suggestions.

2) ATG wants to share what they are already doing to improve efficiency and
services and discuss plans for the future (such as getting a warehouse to
keep more parts).

3) They are also having a FREE wheelchair clinic, where you can get
preventative maintenance --just basic stuff but having someone look over
your chair to make sure things are all good is never a bad idea.

ATG is providing a lunch for us!!

If you want to attend please RSVP to events at ccdconline.org or call Heather
at Atlantis at 303-733-9324.

Please let us know if you need any accommodations including but not limited
to a sign language or other interpreter, any food allergies or needs, or
alternative format needs (we may or may not have materials)

This event will be

CO *
