Greetings everyone, as many of you have heard, the City of Denver along with
the Downtown Partnership are planning to redesign radically the Sixteenth
Street Mall. Important to us is the fact that there will be no curbs along
the entire length of the Mall, making it extremely difficult, if not
impossible, to determine when you are in the pedestrian right of way or when
you are in the bus lane. Obviously this could be dangerous. Below is
information on an important meeting being held next week. If you are able,
we are encouraging everyone to attend. RSVP's are requested per the
information below. Please also let us know if you are going to attend.

The 16th STREET MALL PROJECT

A meeting with the

Disabled Community

You are invited to attend a meeting hosted by the City and County of Denver
and RTD to learn more about the limited curbs design option that has been
selected for the reconstruction of the 16th Street Mall. The goal of the
meeting is to ensure that members of the Disabled Community have an
opportunity to learn about the limited curb; ask questions; and leave the
meeting with a full understanding of the design option and delineation
measures. This matter is of particular importance to some in the
sight-impaired community and we encourage you to attend.
