Greetings and felicitations:

Many of us know by now about the following event:

"The City and County of Denver, along with their partners RTD and the
Downtown Denver Partnership, will host a Zoom meeting on Wednesday, August
5th from 5 to 7 pm. The purpose of the meeting is to brief and seek feedback
from the ADA community on the 16th Street Mall redevelopment project. The
meeting agenda will include an update on the project and an interactive
discussion with the group about construction impacts and future community
engagement. Your feedback and participation is valued and welcomed!"

Even if you don't live in Denver, you may come to Denver from time to time
and if you do, you are likely to visit the 16th Street Mall. Hence, any
changes that are being planned for the mall affect all of us. For example,
will there be curbs or some form of tactual marking to separate moving
traffic from areas where pedestrians gather or walk? Will there be new,
accessible, and innovative ways to learn about businesses on the mall using
our smartphones? These are only two questions that come to my mind at the
moment.

Since this will be a Zoom meeting, anyone who wants to attend can attend-and
without the need for travel. Secondly, Bonnie Barlow, a well-known audio
describer, will be on hand to provide any audio description that is needed.
In order to avail yourself of the audio description, you will need to dial a
conference call number separate from your Zoom connection to the meeting.
