DENVERITES SET THEIR SIGHTS ON RENEWAL OF THE HEART OF THE CITY
Recently government officials, business professionals, disability experts and other interested persons met to discuss rebuilding the 16th street mall. Concerns surfaced about safe navigation, enjoyable aesthetics and a place to draw tourists and citizens alike.
The planning sessions have been on-going for months. One of the next phases will be to hire a construction company.
In particular, this convocation focused upon welcoming the disabled community to the Silver Serpent, which should fulfill the hopes and dreams of many in years to come.

Greetings compatriots,t Be a learner. Be an influencer. I will be with you all on the call tomorrow night If we have any creative scribes who plan to be on the call I would be happy to have your thoughts to publish the very next day in the very next blind Coloradan blog. Deadline would be 8 AM Thursday, August 6. It would be like riding for a newspaper. You would be right close to deadline. Thanks all. By the way someone might want to write a brief paragraph on just the experience of having audio description from Bonnie Barlow along with the briefing for the non-blind

At Your Service,
Kevan Worley

The purpose of the meeting is to brief and seek feedback from the ADA community on the 16th Street Mall redevelopment project. The meeting agenda will include an update on the project and an interactive discussion with the group about construction impacts and future community engagement. Your feedback and participation is valued and welcomed!"

> Even if you don't live in Denver, you may come to Denver from time to time and if you do, you are likely to visit the 16th Street Mall. Hence, any changes that are being planned for the mall affect all of us. For example, will there be curbs or some form of tactual marking to separate moving traffic from areas where pedestrians gather or walk? Will there be new, accessible, and innovative ways to learn about businesses on the mall using our smartphones? These are only two questions that come to my mind at the moment.

> Since this will be a Zoom meeting, anyone who wants to attend can attend—and without the need for travel. Secondly, Bonnie Barlow, a well-known audio describer, will be on hand to provide any audio description that is needed. In order to avail yourself of the audio description, you will need to dial a conference call number separate from your Zoom connection to the meeting.
