Dear NFB family, The Colorado Association of Blind Students is having our
2020-21 Football Survivor Pool.  The deadline to get your $20 entry is
January, 9th 2021. We are sorry for the short notice. I hope that people
can join. If you would like to participate, the information is below.

*Payment:*

·        Cost is $20 to join

Methods for making payment are:

1.     Mail check payable to Colorado Association of Blind Students in
sealed envelope to: National Federation of the Blind of Colorado

2.     Cash in person to any CABS board member or Lisa Bonderson

3.     Venmo  @Martin-Becerra-Miranda

4.     Cash App $MartinBecerraMiranda

·        Payment must be received by January 9 at 10:30 AM or you will be
unable to participate


*Rules:*

·        Select one NFL team per week to win their game

·        You can only pick the same team once with the exception of the NFC
championship game, AFC Championship Game and Super Bowl in which even if
you have already previously picked a team you may pick that team again.

·        This is a one strike you’re out pool, so if your team doesn’t win
their game you will be knocked out.

·        We are not counting the Pro-Bowl as a part of the postseason, thus
participants need not pick this game.

·        Picks should be emailed to Martin Becerra-Miranda at
martinbecerramiranda at yahoo.com  by the kick off of the first game of each
round.

·        If your pick is not submitted by this time you will be knocked out.

·        If you pick the same team more than once in the first two rounds
you will also be knocked out.

·        I will email out picks shortly after the kick off of the first
game for the week so you know who to route for and against.

·        I will send a reminder email to submit your picks each Thursday.


*Prize Pool Distribution:*

·        50% goes to the Colorado Association of Blind Students

·        Winner takes 35%

·        Second place takes 15%

·        The winner will be determined by the last person standing

·        If there are multiple people still standing prior to the super
bowl, said individuals will also be asked to predict the total number of
points that will be scored during the super bowl.

·        In the event that selecting the winner of the Super Bowl does not
determine a winner it will be determined by the proximity of ones predicted
number of points to the actual number of points scored in the game.

·        In the event that multiple individual’s total number of points are
the same distance from the actual number of points scored, the prize pool
will be split accordingly.
