Sherry, how did I miss this? I'm so excited for you! Write a blurb about your novel and a short bio, send a pic of your book cover, and I'll feature the Facebook release on my author page!
I've shopped around and gotten samples. For braille business cards, your best source is:
National Braille Press
88 St. Stephen Street
Boston, MA 02115

For other braille items, I would recommend:
Rosina Coleman Foster
Dot Shop

For Web site help, your go-to guy is Mr. Casey Mathews at Web Friendly Help. Write to him at help at webfriendlyhelp.com<mailto:help at webfriendlyhelp.com> and let him know I spoke highly of him. I wish I'd used him to do my Website, to tell the truth.
Best of luck!Jo Elizabeth Pinto

Subject: [Colorado-Talk] looking for info regarding my upcoming book release
Hi all,
My first novel is being released next month. I'm trying to find a couple things and thought I'd check here.
For the launch party on facebook, I'm giving away prizes. I've bought some magnets customized with the novel's name in braille, and bookmarks the same. I found a place to order some mugs or wine glasses with customized braille. Does anyone know of a place where I could order braille business cards? And maybe a place to buy braille candy bars and or jewelry. Even though I know of a lot of sighted people who will be ordering and reading my book, as the main female lead is blind and reads braille, I'm trying to find as many options for braille on giveaways as possible.
Secondly, in everything I read for self-published authors and marketing, a web site with email list and newsletter is number one. I have a blog, but it's personal. I'd like to have a separate site for my author web stuff. Even with my blog, I don't have a clue how to send out a newsletter. Does anyone know someone I could hire to set up and maintain a web site? Any ideas where to look for such a thing? I want it both accessible and visually appealing.
Thank you all!
Sherry
