Hello Rob:

As a person who has trained literally hundreds of blind people how to use a smartphone, may I suggest acquiring the book Getting Started with Android, published by the National Braille Press. It is relatively inexpensive, is available in a variety of formats, and is well worth the read.

With warm regards,

Curtis Chong
