You are invited to my Disability Advocates Fundraiser on June 22nd at 5:30pm at Brewability Lab! Join Denver City Council Member Chris Hinds, JoyAnn Ruscha, Julie Reiskin, Ms. Wheelchair 2020 Chris Layne, and Izzy Abbass to celebrate all of the hard work we accomplished in CO and across the US for Disability Rights.

 

This would not have been possible without advocates and allies like you! In my first term in office, I was able to pass major legislation to help close equity gaps for people with disabilities, like allowing print disabled citizens to use online voting systems, including ADA requirements into Colorado statute, and passing first-in-the-nation right to repair wheelchair legislation. I’ve also worked with national organizations, DIA, and our federal electeds to make air travel more equitable. BUT there is still a lot of work to be done to ensure equity, so we need your help. Representation matters, but it doesn’t happen by accident and I can’t do it alone.
