The FFB Colorado Community Support Group has continued to have virtual support groups, AND we've been meeting in person! If any of this interests you, please reply back to me. Our next event is this Sunday June 12th 2 pm – 4 pm
Upcoming Events:
Cane decorating and pool party, Sunday June 12th 2 pm – 4 pm. This will be a social event where you will have the option to customize your cane. Bring your swimsuit and come hang out.
Support Group Open House, Wednesday June 15, 5pm - 10pm. This is a virtual session on Zoom. You can show up whenever it works best for you during this time, and you can stay for as little or as long as you want. This is a chance to brush up on Zoom skills, and chat about life and what you want from a support group. We’re inviting people from outside of Colorado as well as our local group, and we’ll see who pops in.
Virtual support group meeting will be held on the 3rd Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 7 pm.
In-person Support group meeting the last Saturday, June 25, from 10 am to noon, the location is to be announced. If you have a recommendation for a space where we can meet please share your ideas.
We do not have a virtual Tech Talk meeting scheduled for June. We are happy to talk one-on-one if there’s something specific that you need help with, or we can schedule a small group practice session.
White Cane Event and sighted guide training, Saturday July 9th
The 2nd Apps & Apps, July 24th where we munch on appetizers and discuss apps and practice skills on iOS devices.
Brewability meetup in July details to be announced

The Foundation Fighting Blindness Denver Support Group has been operating for over 40 years. The target audience is people with degenerative inherited retinal diseases, such as Retinitis Pigmentosa, Macular Degeneration and Ushers Syndrome. Whether you have just been diagnosed, or low vision is beginning to have an impact in your life, or your have no vision at all, we would love to meet and get to know each other. The goal of our support group is to share our stories, information and most importantly our empathy with all of those affected by Inherited Retinal Diseases. The group is open to everyone affected, including spouses, friends, and family. You may not feel you personally need support, but possibly you need to be here for someone else. We all help each other to know that we’re not alone on this changing journey.
