This month's call holds special significance as we will be honoring a
truly remarkable individual, Duncan Larson. For those who may not know
her, Duncan played a pivotal role alongside Diane McGeorge and tom
Anderson in founding the Colorado Center for the Blind back in 1988.
Her dedication and contributions over the years have been
immeasurable. As Julie Deden points out, even when Duncan left the
Center after the birth of her second child, she joined the CCB Board
of Directors and served until returning to lead the Senior Services
Program.

Throughout her nearly two-decade tenure as the Senior Services
Director, Duncan demonstrated her passion and expertise in various
fields, including cane travel, home management, and sewing. Moreover,
she holds certifications as an NOMC, Brain Injury Specialist, and
Craniosacral Therapist, making her an invaluable asset to the
community.

After many years of dedication, Duncan is now embarking on a new
journey as she enters retirement. It is with great warmth and
admiration that we wish to celebrate her remarkable life and work on
this special occasion. We invite you all to join us, ready to share
and hear stories of gratitude for Duncan's profound impact on the
lives of countless blind individuals.

As part of her personal life, Duncan is a loving spouse and a proud
parent to two adult children, and she adores her two incredibly cute
grandchildren.

So, please mark your calendars for August 5, 2023, at 10 AM MDT, as we
gather virtually to pay tribute to Duncan Larson and wish her all the
best on her new chapter in life. Looking forward to sharing this
meaningful occasion with all of you.

There will also be an in-person retirement party for Duncan on Friday,
September 1 at CCB, beginning at 5 p.m. Dinner will be served and
