Greetings, 

 

Here is an important note about the celebration of life for Scott LaBarre it
comes from the president of The National Federation of the Blind of
Colorado, Jessica Beecham.

 

 

Hello Everyone

 

As we prepare to honor Scott LaBarre on January 21, we want to remember the
many ways that Scott impacted those around him. 

 

If Scott mentored you, supported you, fought for you, or otherwise impacted
your life for the better, we would love to collect very brief (less than 30
seconds each, think one or two sentences) testimonies.  Our goal is to
represent a number of voices in a fairly short audio montage.

 

If you would like to lend your voice or words to this tribute, please either
submit a brief audio clip or a couple of sentences in writing to
jbbeecham at gmail.com with LaBarre tribute in the subject line.

 

Please submit items as soon as possible but no later than Friday, January
13.  Remember that the tribute will be only one component of the giant
celebration of Scott's life, so we likely will not be able to utilize
everything that is submitted. However, if there is enough great material, we
may create a longer version for Anahit, Carter, and Alex. We will also be
archiving this material at our tenBroek Library also as part of the
historical record about Scott.
