Another perspective. Back in the dark ages of the early 90's, I traveled from Denver to Boulder for the five years when I went for my masters in Psychology and Counseling degree. The rent in Boulder even then was unaffordable. Personally, your desire to do what it takes has to be bigger than the obstacles. If you can find reasonable housing, no matter where it is, (closer is better of course), then you have to take it. You can always tweak it down the road.

hello david,

i was wondering where you had been since i hadn't seen you lately here on the list! oh well! i know that you will help elizabeth out on this mission! but, she is not looking for housing in denver she wants to find it in boulder which is very different! since she will be going to cu-boulder in the fall. if she decided to do denver she will have to commute everyday or when she has classes to boulder which is at least a 30-40 minute or longer commute. i know this personally since i did it when i did a internship with audio information network in 2010-2012. you will have to take the light rail to downtown denver to union station and, then get on whatever bus that goes to denver. i tried this personally and, it was sooo exhausting and, so i had to resign because of the commute.

may people and students can do it but, it wasn't for me! this is just my food for thought on this for you to tell her on this!
