Wanted to share this with any of you who may have little ones who
would love this accessible Easter egg event. No, we don't have an
equivalent event for blind adults. It's just for kids! :)

We are delighted to host the Legacy West Pioneers' 31st Accessible
Easter Egg Hunt at the Colorado Center for the Blind on April 1. The
Pioneers have held this event as a labor of love for our blind and
visually impaired kids, many of whom are now adults, that it's become
something of an institution! We will provide lunch after the event,
which includes activities for sighted siblings and a beep baseball
demonstration. Come join the Legacy West Pioneers and the Colorado
Center for the Blind on April 1! The Pioneers' flier is below with
more details.

Dear Friends of Visually Impaired Children:

Please help us spread the word that there will be a free Easter Egg
Hunt for visually impaired children sponsored by the Legacy West
Pioneers, April 1, 2023 at 10:00 am at the Colorado Center For The
Blind, 2233 W Shepperd Ave. in Littleton, CO.

Easter Eggs with electronic sound devices will be hidden in an area of
the Center lawn to be discovered by visually impaired children under
the age of 18. Easter Eggs will also be hidden for the sighted
siblings. If we expect inclement weather the Easter Egg hunt will be
held inside.

Additional activities include face painting, picture taking, games
specially designed for the visually impaired children, and a free
lunch for the participants and their families. Each child under 18
years old will receive an Easter basket filled with candy and toys.

This year we will host a Beepball Baseball game, so if you have a
visually impaired child from age 13 to 18, we will explain the game
and show the children how to play Beepball. We will have a format to
post a Beepball baseball game for the visually impaired.
