Renovations have started between Curtis and Champa streets
Renovations are officially underway between Curtis and Champa streets, marking the start of the reconstruction work!
Work days and hours are anticipated to be Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weekend work will occur between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Material deliveries and staging may occur overnight. Work and schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change.
Here’s what you can expect during the first phase of activity, which will last approximately 13-14 months:
* Work begins in the center transitway area
* Pedestrian walkways and storefront access will be maintained on both sides of the Mall, but walkways will be narrower
* Curb-to-curb fencing will be installed initially and will move out as construction activities change
* Fencing will surround the work site and include signs to direct people traveling on the Mall
* Gates and flaggers will be on-site at intersections to direct drivers and pedestrians as needed
* All businesses will remain accessible

There is no better place to celebrate the 2023 Rockies Home Opener than the 16th Street Mall! Head to the intersection of 16th and Arapahoe streets on April 6th from noon to 3 p.m. for the Skyline Park Pre-Game Party. There will be hotdogs, music and fun for the whole family. Show your support for the Rockies downtown before hitting Coors Field.
