I am deeply saddened to learn of Karen’s passing. I remember that she was very kind, caring, and easy to talk to and with. Once she even took me on the 16th St. mall and we went to Bath and Bodyworks and shopped. I remember gift-wrapping with her and enjoyed hearing her interact with customers who had gifts wrapped. She was always friendly to me And I remember when she was treasurer of the mile high chapter when I was in the chapter. My prayers are with all of her loved ones and I will miss her.

Kishia.

Karen was a fixture when the Mile High Chapter and other chapters raised money wrapping gifts during the Holidays at Barnes and Noble. One could count on Karen to engage people with her cheerful smile and voice. I often heard Karen engaging the customers in conversation concerning the books and other gifts she wrapped. So many people would return each year so Karen could wrap their gift. Karen was one of the founding members of the Mile High Chapter. She would serve as our Treasurer for several years and I can easily say she was a fantastic treasurer. We shall miss Karen very much. She was a kind person who easily engaged in conversation and cared deeply for the NFB.
