JJ. Here here! I've always disliked the term, “sighted guide” Sometimes the best guide is a blind guide. Just sayin.
At your service,

Colorado Center for the Blind believes when you believe in yourself and experience a thriving community of positive blind people, nothing can hold you back from pursuing your dreams.

Well, this is cool! I just have one little pet peeve that I figured I would share here. They say that you should have a sided person help you register if you cannot register, and I find this rather ablest. They should’ve just said that you could get help from a trusted person if you need help with registering. That person could be blind or sided. Just saying.
Best,
JJ Aragon - Vice President, National Federation of the Blind of Greeley

It’s that time of year once again - time to register for our free Voiceover In and Out course!
That’s right, registration for the free course, Voiceover In and Out, is now open. In this course, you’ll learn how to use your iPhone, and other iOS devices, with the VoiceOver screen reader. Whether you are new to the iPhone and voiceover, or an experienced user, this course is for you. We’ve got something for everyone.
We start with the basics, and build a foundation, so that by the end of the course, you will be able to successfully use your iPhone to make and receive calls, send and receive messages and emails, work with the calendar and reminders, listen to music, watch movies, Take notes, read books, and so much more. But that’s not all! Because we teach fundamentals and predictable patterns, you’ll be able to use almost any app or website, through applying the various techniques we teach. Navigate with on screen gestures, use keyboards and braille displays, and more.
Additionally, our Experience Labs will allow you to put what you’ve learned to practice, while our team is on hand to assist you.
This course is completely free, and open to everyone. It occurs every Monday and Wednesday at 2 PM Eastern, beginning Monday, October 7, 2024, and concluding before Christmas. All sessions will be taught live using the Zoom meetings platform. While live attendance is strongly recommended, all sessions will be made available on our podcast and our YouTube channel, within just a few days of each session.
Once again, attendance is completely free. But, you must register. No sessions can be attended without registration. Each student must register directly, using the link below. We cannot sign you up, or register for you. You must do this yourself, or with the help of a sighted family member, friend, or coworker. You must provide an accurate email address in order to register.
Upon completing the registration form, you will receive an email directly from Zoom, containing the necessary join info. TTJ does not have this join information, so we cannot provide it to you if you lose it. Again, please save the registration email you received from Zoom, as there is nothing we can do to assist you in getting it back. If you lose your registration info, you will have to register again.
This course will fill up quickly, so please register now. Don’t wait. Use the link below to begin registration. If you have any questions, please use the contact options on our website, www.ttjtech.biz<http://www.ttjtech.biz>, to get in touch with us. God bless you, and we look forward to working with you soon!
