Yes, recent versions of JAWS have the ability of splitting your 
audio, sending JAWS/Computer to one side, and meeting or other audio 
to the other side. You could use an ear bud for the computer and send 
other side to room.

Command is JAWS Key plus spacebar, then b,  then right or left arrow 
to move audio.  To undo same commands except up arrow to restore 
instead of right or left.
