Hello Gail:

The thing to do is to route the JAWS audio to a different device other than the computer’s main speaker. Use a USB headset. Do the people need to hear any auio from the PowerPoint? Perhaps we could chat privately about this.

Best wishes,

Curtis Chong

Hi all

Does anyone have an idea?

I've been selected to present at the 24th Annual MIC of Colorado Education Conference and Trade Show held at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, CO, on March 27, 2024, at 9:30AM. Topic: The Blind Elephant in the Room, Changing the Way You See and Relate to Others. My PowerPoint slides are on my laptop and I have a remote to move from one slide to another. The cool thing is, JAWS reads each slide as it displays on the screen. Of course, if I turn JAWS off, I could have the potential of mismatching my words with the visuals. Turned on, JAWS reads the titles. While I think this is cool, and could be a learning opportunity for my audience, I'm also wondering if there's a way to have JAWS come through on my Air Pods while the audio clips still can be heard externally by the audience?

Looking forward to your ideas.

Infinite Blessings,
Gail Hamilton
