Greetings colleagues,

Over my 45 years of involvement in our National Federation of the Blind Colorado family, I have often asked "What can I do"? I have often been given ideas, directions, or assignments by the state president or my other colleagues. I have often been asked, "What can I do?" Well, I have an answer for you. Are you on social media? Do you do Facebook, X, TikTok, or Instagram? If you use these platforms? If you have followers and friends? I'm asking that you pull out the stops and do the following.

  1. Follow our NFBCO Facebook page.
  2. Share our Haymakers posts anywhere you can on social media.
  3. Put information about our Haymakers event on all of your social media platforms.
We will want to do this as the 6 Dot Dash comes closer as well. For now, please use your social media. Let's sell some tickets. This is going to be a fabulous evening of music. You and your friends and families and followers don't want to miss it!

Come and support the National Federation of the Blind of Colorado with an exciting evening of traditional and original acoustic music. Haymakers will perform a lively set, including songs from their two 2023 releases: "100 Years of Hank" and "Wakonda Flyer."
Proceeds benefit the NFB of Colorado's Scholarship Program for blind Colorado college students, as well as our Braille literacy programs.
Haymakers takes the concept of the string band and plugs it into a broad swath of acoustic music that stretches from Americana to bluegrass, from Appalachian folk music to bluesy western swing, and even into the realm of the jam band thanks to superb musicianship. Dustin Arbuckle (vocals/harmonica), Tom Page (vocals/guitar), Anthony Trupia (mandolin/vocals), and Caleb Drummond (bass/vocals) lock into an array of grooves that go in and outside the box of traditional acoustic music. The Wichita, Kansas-based group formed in 2012 and gradually honed their sound through steady gigs around the Sunflower State before releasing their debut, self-titled album in 2017. Since then the band has toured steadily throughout the Midwest and Colorado, playing everywhere from festivals to rowdy bars to living rooms. They've developed a following in Colorado and, after seeing them perform, you'll be part of that following for sure!
