Here is something many may not know. The ARC handles our National Federation of the Blind vehicle donation program. When I was setting up this program years ago I interviewed several vendors. ARC handles vehicle donation programs for other nonprofits. They also paid minimum wage or better and they have done a fine job for us for over a decade. Of course, we would not have had the internal infrastructure and capacity to do a program of this type. Thought you all might want to know.

The National Federation of the Blind is a community of members and friends who believe in the hopes and dreams of the nation’s blind. Every day we work together to help blind people live the lives they want.
Colorado Center for the Blind believes when you believe in yourself and experience a thriving community of positive blind people, nothing can hold you back from pursuing your dreams.

Our friend Jamie Lewis was recently interviewed for a podcast concerning people with disabilities participating in the arts. Many NFBCO members participate in the arts and I thought some of you may have interest in listening to the podcast.

Hey Jaime!

Hope all is well in your world! I wanted to let you know that the podcast episode from THINK+change, “Breaking Barriers in the Arts”<https://thinkchange.training/breaking-barriers-in-the-arts/>, that you participated in has been published! This is such a great listen, and love your expansive career across so many disciplines.
This podcast/vodcast is listed on 7 video and podcast platforms including, the THINK+change website<https://thinkchange.training/>, Vimeo<https://vimeo.com/thinkchangettt/albums>, YouTube<https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCA8vW7tiTSWU_nl7SKaU4bg/playlists>, Spreaker<https://www.spreaker.com/show/think-change-podcasts>, Apple Podcasts<https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/think-change-podcasts/id1454407987?uo=4>, iHeartRadio<https://www.iheart.com/podcast/256-thinkchange-podcasts-30930960>, and Spotify<https://open.spotify.com/show/0GHQnGDRCk8VM7UPupQO3V>. * Copy and paste statement (if needed): For so many, art is the opportunity for growth through expression, communication, and building confidence. It creates communities, jobs, and so much more. And yet the pathway to pursuing the arts is left out of the conversation for many people with disabilities. THINK+change sat down with local artist, Jaime Lewis, to discuss Breaking Barriers in the Arts in this month’s episode of their podcast: https://thinkchange.info/ArtsPODVOD
