Hi Curtis,

The answer to your question has many variables.

The coverage depends….. The reception for me at Chatfield was perfect with my Carrier Verizon. Sue (my friend who is walking with me in the news segment) has Xfinity cell service and her coverage at Chatfield was also great.

If a person is concerned about coverage, it would be best to research the coverage for your individual situations. The map can be reviewed with an Aira agent or call the disability phone numbers provided by many of the carriers.

In most cases, the more remote the state park, the less coverage. Also another situation to ponder….when we filmed this news segment, it was 98 degrees out, no shade and we were on hot pavement.

Our phones over heated at one point as did the cameras for Channel 7.

We had to put all electronics in the Channel 7 air conditioned van to cool off before we resumed filming.

I am meeting friends at the Marina in a few minutes at Chatfield to sail.

I’ll be using Aira to find them. 😊

Cheers!

I for one would like to know how good the signal was at the state park. The reporter did point out that you had to get pretty good cell service in order for the Aira service to work. At a State Park, what is the reception really like?

Cordially,

Curtis Chong

Glad you’re doing the full-court press on this one, ‘cuz we want people to actually use this thing. If people don’t use it, we might lose it.

Thanks,

Tim
