Greetings to the Organized Blind Movement of Colorado,

Anybody interested in meeting me at the capital at around 9 am tomorrow morning? I have signed up to testify on behalf of NFBCO in support of SB-24-153 News Access for Consumers Who Are Print-Disabled. The bill will be heard by the State, Civic, Military and Veterans Affairs committee. We don't know the exact time of the hearing. It will be heard following the adjournment of the house which is typically around 9:30 or so, but who really knows given the fact that the general assembly will adjourn at midnight this Wednesday. We have to get this bill out of this committee. Then it has to pass house appropriations. Then it has to pass the full house. Our task over the next 5 days is daunting. But it is doable! I plan to be at the capital at about 9 am. I will head directly to hearing room HCR 0107. The bill is sponsored in the house by representatives Stephine Vigil and David Ortiz. If you would like to sign up to testify you can do so at this link https://www2.leg.state.co.us/CLICS/CLICS2024A/commsumm.nsf/signIn.xsp.xsp<https://www2.leg.state.co.us/CLICS/CLICS2024A/commsumm.nsf/signIn.xsp>. I plan to leave the springs at about 7:15 if any Springszians wish to go with me please let me know. But, I then plan to head to the Wild West Chapter, "May the 4th be with you" gathering at The Lakewood Grill, 8100 W Colfax, at 2:00.

Let's do this!

At your service,
