Thank you, Robert. Several months ago, I ordered my cane from Ambutech and they are very good canes. I did not have any shipping added to my order, so maybe there might not be any shipping costs. We can only hope. 😊

Take care,
ReNae

Subject: [Colorado-Talk] Free Ambutech cane from After Sight

Hello community,

I wanted to say thank you to everyone who made it out to Aspen Grove on Saturday, 4 May.
Especially Yvette and Joshua!
It was wonderful to meet you.

As we told multiple people that day at our “You Don’t Look Blind“ booth, there is an organization here in Colorado called after sight.
They are a reading service that used to be called audio information network.

in July 2023, they partnered with Lions Club Colorado on their white cane project.

They are offering free canes to those who need / desire them.

These canes are apparently folding fiberglass canes with your choice of tips, from Ambutech out of Canada.

Below is the link to the form to request your cane, which I have verified was completely usable with my ScreenReader on my iPhone.
https://aftersight.org/white-cane-project/#form

There is a link on the form if you would like a different style cane, and Penn Street will do her best to see what she can do to accommodate your request.

I will be sending another email to our community, offering to place a group order to Ambutech, so that we can all split the exorbitant shipping prices out of Canada for their canes.

When we place a group order, we get discounts if not free shipping.

I hope this information is a value to our community, and I greatly appreciate your feedback.
Thank you

Robert E Lee II
