This is Christine with Foresight Adventure Guides for the Blind. This is Christine with Foresight Adventure Guides for the Blind.  We talked a few years ago about you coming up to Vail to ski with some friends.  Ultimately that didn’t happen but I want to make sure you are aware of two recruitment events Foresight is holding in two weeks.  They are learn to ski or return to ski events at SnoBahn Action Sports Center.  They have two indoor ski slopes where people can learn to ski, get reacquainted with skiing or snowboarding or improve their skills.  I thought this might be a great opportunity for you to try skiing with you RA.  I’ve also heard you are involved with EyeCycle.  Would you please share this information with the EyeCycle community?  I’d really appreciate it.  Details on the events are below and a flyer is attached also.

Calling all blind and low vision skiers and snowboarders or those who always wanted to try it!
Foresight Adventure Guides for the Blind is hosting two Outreach and Recruitment events in October.
The events are being held at SnoBahn Action Sports Center on their indoor ski slopes.  October 16 will be held at SnoBahn Centennial and October 17 at SnoBahn Thornton.  The events go from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.  No experience necessary!
Come learn about Foresight and our transformative programs for blind and low vision individuals.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
Improve your skiing or snowboarding skills in a warm, controlled environment.  This is a great opportunity to get back on the slopes if you haven’t skied or ridden since losing your eyesight. Equipment is provided by SnoBahn but you are welcome to bring your own ski or snowboard boots and helmet if you own them.
Reservations are required and must be made by October 8.

Subject: Avon in Feb with my gang?

Hi Christine,
I think I want to ski with Barbara, Steven and Pasquele the week of the 31, Feb 3?  Or whatever  they are signed up for.
Because of my RA, I am not sure how much I can ski.  This is all new to me and I’m trying to figure out my new limitations.

Also, I need my own room.  I just do not sleep  well with others.
I’m happy to pay full price but I  do want to stay in the same place as them.

Will this  work out?  I’ll need that form to  fill out again 😊
