Greetings everyone!

The 2024 General Election on November 5th is fast approaching and there is
still time to register to vote for this election. The following information
is intended for blind Colorado residents who are US citizens. This message
will describe the process for registering to vote in Colorado. We will post
more info on accessible voting as we get closer to the election. There are
accessible options for both electronic and in-person voting in Colorado.

As a blind Colorado voter who has used the accessible electronic ballot
process for several years, my intention is that the following information
will help you find the right links and info. Our NFBCO affiliate has worked
hard to ensure that we, the blind, are able to have accessible voting
options. Colorado has been a leader in accessible voting in the nation,
thanks to a positive partnership with the Colorado Secretary of State
office. To the best of my ability, I have specifically referenced and verify
directly from the Colorado Secretary of State website. I encourage you
tocontact the SOS office if you have questions or need clarification. For
general election and voting details, please go to the Colorado Secretary of
State Website at:

https://www.sos.state.co.us/pubs/elections/main.html

For all registered voters, Colorado has universal mail in voting, and paper
ballots are mailed to registered voters within 22 days of an election.
Since paper ballots are not accessible for blind voters, Colorado allows
eligible voters who are blind or have a print disability to use an
accessible electronic ballot. Eligible voters using the accessible
electronic ballot may vote from October 11 through 7:00 PM on election Day,
November 5th.

Verifying your voter registration status

In order to access your electronic ballot, your voter registration
information must be up to date. Do this by contacting your county clerk or
visiting www.GoVoteColorado. <https://www.govotecolorado.gov/>

You can check your status, sign up for ballot trax,find ballot information
(Blue Book), review a sample ballot and verify information such as your
mailing address and party affiliation. This website is accessible for blind
people using screen reading technology.

Voter Registration

If you are a Colorado resident and are not yet registered to vote in
Colorado, here is what you need to know:

Q: Am I eligible to register to vote?
A: You are eligible to register to vote if you are a United States citizen;
will be at least 18 years old at the time you vote; are a Colorado resident
for at least 22 days immediately before the election you intend to vote in;
and are not currently serving a term of imprisonment for a felony
conviction.

Q: How do I register to vote in Colorado?

A: If you have a valid Social Security Number (SSN), Colorado Driver's
License, or Colorado ID card, you can register on line
atwww.GoVoteColorado.gov <https://www.govotecolorado.gov/>

Please note that there is a checkbox on this website which you have to mark
indicating you are not a robot. You will not have to listen to an audio
CAPTCHA. If you do not have the above forms of identification, you will need
to complete a paper registration form. You can find a list of acceptable
forms of identification for Colorado at
https://www.coloradosos.gov/pubs/elections/vote/acceptableFormsOfID.html

Printable voter registration forms are available on the Secretary of State's
website, all county clerk and recorder's offices and any federal post office
that provides voter registration application forms. You may drop off, mail,
fax, or scan and email your complete and signed form to your county clerk
and recorder's office.

Q: How do I register to vote in person?

A: Registering to vote in-person may be done at a physical office, which
includes:

A Colorado Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) office when you apply for a
driver's license or Colorado State ID;

Offices that provide public assistance, including offices that provide state
funded programs primarily engaged in providing services to people with
disabilities (including the Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation);

Any federal, state, or local government office or any nongovernment office
that chooses to provide voter registration service or applications;

A voter service and polling center; or.

A voter registration drive.

Q: What is the voter registration deadline?

A: Voters may register through Election Day. Please note that how you
register to vote will impact how you receive your ballot.

To receive your ballot by mail:

Register to vote or update your voter registration online at
www.GoVoteColorado.gov
<file:///C:/Users/julia/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Windows/INetCache/Content.Ou
tlook/RVUTLH4W/www.GoVoteColorado.gov> through the 8th day before Election
Day;

  Submit an application through the mail, at a voter registration agency, or
at a local driver's license examination facility through the 8th day before
Election Day; or

Submit an application through a voter registration drive no later than 22
days before Election Day.

If you miss the above deadlines, you may register in-person at a voter
service and polling center in your county through Election Day.

Since eligible voters who use the accessible electronic ballot do not need a
printed ballot, we have sent an inquiry to the election commission to
clarify this timing. More info will be sent out as soon as we have a
response.

Q: What if I have more questions? How do I find the location and contact
info for my county election office and county clerk/recorder?

A: A list of county election offices and a list of contact information for
your county clerk (pdf document) is found at this link:
https://www.coloradosos.gov/pubs/elections/Resources/CountyElectionOffices.h
tml.

You can also find a list with contact information at www.govotecolorado.gov
