Hello all:
The Aurora Chapter will have an opportunity to tour the Aurora History
Museum on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 4:30 to approximately 6pm. This is
after the museum closes for the day. Only those with their name on the list
will be allowed entrance for this free tour. The museum is located at 15051
Alameda Parkway, between City Hall and the Aurora Public Library. More
specific directions will follow for those who will attend.
Our chapter has been working with the Aurora History Museum on several
projects, providing information, background, and resources for some of their
projects. We led a summer camp presentation in July. In October, we will be
presenting at two of their events. The museum is looking for ideas and
suggestions as to how to be more inclusive and would like our feedback after
the event.
I would like to know before September 30 who will be coming. We have a max
capacity of 27 people. Afterwards we will find a place to all meet up for
dinner.
The Museum will begin with an overview of the entire museum, including the
trolley room. The primary focus will be the Nepal Gallery and how Nepal has
influenced Aurora.
Please let me know as soon as possible who will be attending. Either email
me at chongpeggy10 at gmail.com <mailto:chongpeggy10 at gmail.com> or give me a
call at 303-745-0473.
Peggy
