Hello everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. I am serving as the liaison for the upcoming NFB virtual career fair hosted by the National Employment Committee on October 22nd. We are excited about this event and are reaching out to request your valuable assistance in making it a success.

We aim to have employers from every industry and region of the country represented at the fair. To create a truly diverse group of employers from both the private and public sectors, we need your help in connecting with companies where Federation members are currently employed. Historically, we have had the most success in recruiting employers when there is an existing connection through employed members. While we may not know where all of our members work, we believe that, with your assistance, we can reach more employers than ever before.

Here’s how you can help:
1. Please share the employer registration form https://nfb.org/civicrm/event/register?reset=1&id=606 <https://nfb.org/civicrm/event/register?reset=1&id=606> with your Division members via your listserv or other communication channels.
2. Encourage employed members to share the form with the recruiter or HR team at their workplace.
3. If possible, ask members to introduce us to their company’s recruiting or HR staff so we can directly discuss the benefits of participating in the career fair.

Your support will be instrumental in helping us provide greater employment opportunities for blind individuals. With your help, I am confident that this will be our best virtual career fair yet!

If you have any questions or need further information, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for all that you do!

Warm regards,

Charles Bennett

The Colorado Center for the Blind is a training center and community of blind and low vision people, proudly affiliated with the National Federation of the Blind.

We believe blind people can do anything. Every day, we encourage and challenge each student—and they come to understand their potential as they build the skills and confidence to live the life they want. Because when you believe in yourself and experience a thriving community of positive blind people, nothing can hold you back from pursuing your dreams.
