[Colorado-Talk] When will Waymo come to Colorado?

The only one I really heard over the past decades say that they would be everywhere in 10 to 15 years was the self promoting Elon Musk. And we will see what happens. But I really do believe we are at a place now where artificial intelligence combined with robotics will change the world as we know it More significantly then we can now even imagine. What this will do to people who are blind and low vision, life, quality, and access and education and jobs we can only speculate?

They'll be everywhere in five years. They've been saying this for 15 years, so eventually it will become true!

Skepticism: I will remain somewhat as skeptical about driverless cars as I am about many of the drivers I've ridden with.

They still say that flying is the safest means of travel, but I just haven't been able to develop the necessary arm strength.

Curtis, of course, you are. Being a skeptic is one of your more endearing qualities. 😊 In 5 years they will be everywhere.

Greetings:

There is a video which is actually found on YouTube. Here is a direct link which will start the playback immediately.

While many folks are excited about autonomous vehicles, I myself plan to maintain a certain amount of skepticism with respect to self-driving cars--at least for the next few years😊.

Happy listening and viewing.

Kind wishes,

Curtis Chong

Good day, all! I just received this article from the Waymo website from our good friend, Hugh Carey at CSDB. The article features the President of the National Federation of the Blind, Mark Riccobono, and one of our department executive directors, brother Anil Lewis. Read it here. Maybe we should lobby officials across the Front Range to bring Waymo. That would be the end of our dog denials.
