Round 3 of Small Business Grant Applications Open September 2

Denver Economic Development & Opportunity (DEDO), in partnership with the Fax Partnership and Mile High United Way, will open applications for the Business Impact Opportunity (BIO) Fund grant program on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. This will be the third round of funding to support small businesses impacted by city-funded construction projects. Eligible businesses located on East Colfax Avenue between Broadway and Glencoe Street will be eligible to apply. Where will the BRT operate?
The East Colfax Avenue BRT will run from Denver Union Station in Denver to the R Line Light Rail Station in Aurora at I-225. The BRT will operate in dedicated center-running lanes from Broadway to Yosemite in Denver and in mixed flow, or side-running lanes, in Aurora from Yosemite to I-225.

How were station locations identified?
Station locations were developed as part of the Alternatives Analysis<https://colfaxbrt.us6.list-manage.com/track/click?u=75c982ba1073fe2022e058592&id=b3f491371a&e=4be30e3cbf> and were refined with input from the public and from the East and East Central Neighborhood Planning Initiative (NPI)<https://colfaxbrt.us6.list-manage.com/track/click?u=75c982ba1073fe2022e058592&id=a5b9abdc4c&e=4be30e3cbf> efforts. To ensure equitable access, special attention was given to the spacing of stations. As designed, the average distance in between stations is 1/3 of a mile, which means a walk distance between stations of no more than 1/6 of a mile (or 3-4 blocks).
