And…..if you like the insert menu, alt n will get you there when in the body of a new email.

Hello Amy:
Using Outlook, the easiest way to send an attachment is to do the following.
1. Using File Explorer, focus on the file you want to attach.
2. Copy this to the Clipboard using Control C.
3. Go into the body of the email to which you want to attach the file, ensuring that your cursor is at the beginning of the message.
4. Press Control V to paste the attachment to your email message.
It's really that simple. And while I am on this subject, you can also detach files from an email you have received using this copy/paste method.
