Subject: BARD Update to BARD 2
Greetings,
This is a reminder that on Tuesday, May 6, your BARD account will be migrated to the new and improved BARD service. If you use BARD on the web, a one-time change in the login procedures is required to access the new site. The next time you log into BARD, on or after May 6, please follow the instructions below to access the new BARD 2 website. Feel free to contact us at ctbl.info at cde.state.co.us<mailto:ctbl.info at cde.state.co.us?subject=BARD%202> or 800-685-2136 if you have any questions or concerns, or if you just want to tell us about your experience with the new website.
Note: This is only for BARD on the web. It will not affect BARD Mobile or BARD Express.
Please log into the new BARD website using the following steps:
1. Open your web browser to the BARD website at: https://nlsbard.loc.gov
2. Log in with the BARD credentials you have always used, which consists of your email address and password.
3. After submitting your login credentials, the next page will say, “Your account is configured to use advanced authentication. Choose OK to continue to the authentication page where you will be asked to log in again.”
4. Choose the Okay link on that page.
5. On the resulting web page, type your email address into the email field.
6. Type your BARD password into the password field.
7. Choose the “Show Password” button if you wish to have the password displayed in the Password field.
8. If you remember your password and type it into the Password field, proceed to step number 10 to log into the BARD website. If, however you have forgotten your password, there is a link on this page named, “Reset your password here.” Choose that link to start the process of having BARD send you an email to change your password.
9. Select the “Remember me” checkbox if you would like BARD to remember your email address the next time you want to log into the BARD website. Note: By logging into the BARD website, you agree to abide by the Government Terms of Service. Either choose the link to view the Government Terms of Service or scroll down the page to review them.
10. Activate the Submit button. You will be taken to the new and improved BARD Main page.
11. Moving forward, you will continue to log in through the same BARD login page you have always used, which is https://nlsbard.loc.gov.<https://nlsbard.loc.gov>
