Greetings all –

I am pleased to report that Congressman Jeff Crank signed on as a cosponsor
to H.R. 1529, the Access Technology Affordability Act (ATAA). Our thanks to
Congressman Crank for his support! Great job Colorado Springs members!

This gives Colorado two cosponsors and helps move the ATAA toward being
included in the fast-running tax legislation in Congress. As a quick
reminder, the Access Technology Affordability Act would create a $2,000
refundable tax credit for use over a three-year period for the purchase of
access technology. This credit would help put more access technology in the
hands of blind people, thereby helping us learn, work, and live the lives
we want.

And so we have just six more House members to get on board with the ATAA.
Please call your member’s office and tell them your name, that you are an
NFB member, and that you want them to cosponsor H.R. 1529. Feel free to let
them know we have bipartisan support for this bill in Colorado.

Call as soon as you can. Things are moving fast this week!

Best,

Dan
