[Colorado-Talk] need resource

Hello NFB family

I need a resource for a friend of mine. She has a 92-year-old friend who lives in Grand Junction. She is nearing totally blind from MS, uses a walker, and lives with her daughter who puts her in a corner and expects her to stay there. She doesn't know how to make phone calls, cook (nothing is marked), or go to church by herself. Her daughter leaves for long weekends and the woman is left to eating out of cans. All this is according to my friend.

The woman and/or daughter needs someone to come out and show her how to use her phone, mark microwave so she can cook, maybe some cane lessons, and how to get transportation. Is there someone from NFB senior or other division that can do an evaluation and/or assist?

Living in Denver, I'm not familiar with western slope resources.

Anyone got connections and ideas?
