hello derek,
i do understand your frustrations with walmart's accessibility issues and, the nfb on a national level has tried to work with them on the inaccessible issues with it'stechnology. it has also dealt with this with it's keyocs in their stores and, having shopper hepers help us shop iindepentally in their stores. i'am glad that you are working with walmart and, i hope that others here on this list will do the ssame like you did in making walmart aware of these issues.
thanks again and, good lluck with your adventure!

Subject: [Colorado-Talk] Be aware of pricing issues on the Walmart plus shopping app
Pricing issues with the Walmart plus application we use for shopping. There is a serious accessibility problem that has recently developed in the Walmart Plus shopping app on the iPhone and possibly elsewhere. This problem is particularly significant for blind and legally blind customers who rely on VoiceOver or another screen reader to shop independently.Following one of the recent Walmart Plus app updates, prices for many food and other items are no longer being read by VoiceOver as customers scroll through the available products. Previously, the price was clearly announced along with the product information, either as a dollar amount or as a price per pound. That information has now disappeared from the initial product listings. The only way to find the price for many of these products is to double-tap the item, open the entire and lengthy product page, then navigate through the numerous images and other product information, and then continue navigating until eventually reaching the price. This does not occur with every item, but it appears to be happening with increasing frequency and is very common. This is completely unacceptable. For a sighted customer, being unable to see a price while scrolling through a list of products would be an obvious and serious problem. For a blind customer using VoiceOver, it is even more disruptive because there is no visual information available to compensate for the missing price information. The result is that shopping can take substantially longer. In my experience, this problem can increase the amount of time required to shop by as much as 75 percent or even longer unless you don't care about the price and what you are paying. It is extremely inefficient, frustrating, and completely undermines the ability of blind customers to shop independently and on an equal basis with sighted customers. This is not simply a minor inconvenience or a preference regarding how the app operates. Accessibility is an essential requirement for customers who depend on screen readers as well as for sided individuals. When pricing information that was previously accessible suddenly becomes inaccessible following an app update, Walmart has a responsibility to investigate the problem and correct it promptly.I have already raised this issue directly with Walmart on several occasions via The application feedback. Nothing has been fixed! It is now up to everybody, including you, reading this too send Walmart critical feedback through multiple different avenues, including the Walmart app, Walmart’s Facebook presence, store management, and Walmart’s corporate office. Despite bringing this problem to Walmart’s attention, the issue remains unresolved.Walmart needs to address this immediately. We collectively must insist and demand that Walmart’s senior management, technical and accessibility teams investigate this problem to determine why product prices are no longer consistently exposed to VoiceOver and other screen readers, without having to navigate all the way to the bottom of the Products in depth description. The pricing amount in dollar terms must be restored to show the full amount without having to activate the item and then scroll all the way to the very end.Walmart has millions of customers who depend on its technology to shop. Accessibility should not disappear because of an app update. We collectively R asking Walmart to provide an immediate resolution, communicate what is being done to correct this problem, and ensure that future updates do not remove accessibility features as well as any other pricing issues that customers depend upon. All Walmart customers deserve the same ability to browse products, compare prices, quickly make purchasing decisions. This issue needs to be fixed now, not eventually.Thank you and best regardsDerek Selbo
