Hello,
Our next NFBCO chapter meeting will be this coming Tuesday evening in person and over Zoom. As always, feel free to come early for social hour, food, and beverages available. Meeting begins at 6. This might be the last time we will meet at Avenue 19. We have been talking about changing our downtown location for a while. Kyle found us a new, nice place. Nate, Jack Sevre, and I checked it out. The tentative plan is to meet there the 3rd Tuesday evening in March. It is a Colorado Springs institution. Panino's Downtown, 604 N Tejon St. They have a wonderful menu of pizza and much more. Chapter will discuss at our February meeting. For now, we will be back at Avenue 19 next week, 19 N Tejon St. Middle of the east side of the block. Time for your $10 annual dues! Time for elections! Time to finalize our planning work for the effort the chapter must make this year. Note, I will not be seeking election. We have wonderful leaders. I have endorsed Nate Hecker. Nate was president of our Grand Junction chapter. I do hope all of y'all will be there next Tuesday evening, regardless of chapter affiliation. We are almost to our March 2 year anniversary.
Don't forget to check out the February Braille Monitor. If you plan to go to National Convention, start making those plans. All the info is in the Monitor or at nfb.org. I already have my room reservation made.
I hope we will see many of you this coming Tuesday evening. And don't forget the chili cookoff on February 21. It will be at Broady Shot Spot as always. And there is still time to enter your chili. I plan to go if someone needs a ride.
Let's go build the National Federation of the Blind. The change is ours to make.
At your service,
Kevan Worley
