The Englewood Lions Club is excited to welcome Don MacGowan, a volunteer with The Seeing Eye's Pennies for Puppies Program, for a special presentation and ice cream social.

Discover how a playful puppy becomes a highly trained guide dog. Don will share:

  *   The inspiring story of The Seeing Eye
  *   Common causes of blindness
  *   The breeds selected to become guide dogs
  *   How puppies are raised and trained
  *   The fascinating matching process that pairs each dog with the right person who is blind

You'll also have the opportunity to:

  *   Enjoy an ice cream social
  *   Enter your favorite puppy name in our "Name a Puppy" Contest!

Whether you're a dog lover, interested in learning more about guide dogs, or simply looking for an enjoyable community event, there's something for everyone.
