Colorado Talking Book Library's 2026 Summer Reading program is here and it’s almost time for our special Summer Reading Kickoff event! Friday, June 5, from 1 – 4 pm join us for an afternoon of paleontology and dinosaur themed activities outside the library at 180 Sheridan Blvd in our parking lot. 

We have partnered with the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, who will be bringing a fully tactile paleontology mini exhibit. Library patrons will also be able to meet the Colorado Rockies mascot Dinger, Happy Cones Ice Cream will be on hand providing frozen treats, and more! 

The schedule for Friday is: 

Happy Cones Ice Cream: 1 - 3:45 PM

Colorado Rockies Mascot Dinger: 1:30 - 2:15 PM

Denver Museum of Nature and Science: 1 - 4 PM

Crafts, Activities, Summer Reading Sign-up: 1 - 4 PM

CTBL’s all ages Summer Reading program runs from June 1 and August 7. Program information, Activity Guides, Summer Reading Booklists, and additional activities are available on the  <https://myctbl.cde.state.co.us/summer-reading-2026> Summer Reading page at  <https://myctbl.cde.state.co.us> myctbl.org. CTBL Summer Reading is limited to CTBL patrons, and we are happy to get folks started with the service if they are not already.
