[Colorado-Talk] Mile High and Wild West Chapter Camping Trip

Hello Everyone,

We are excited to announce our upcoming Mile High  and Wild West Chapter NFBCO camping trip in collaboration with Wilderness on Wheels (WOW) on Saturday, July 25th through Sunday, July 26th!

Wilderness on Wheels is an incredible Colorado nonprofit that provides accessible outdoor recreation opportunities for individuals with disabilities, their families, and caregivers. Their beautiful location near Grant, Colorado features an accessible boardwalk through the mountains, fishing opportunities, accessible campsites, and more.

Trip Details:

Additional timing details will be shared at a later date.
We will leave as early as possible on Saturday morning and head up the mountain to set up camp.
We will stay one night and return home Sunday after breakfast and packing up camp.
Transportation will be provided for those who need it.
Pick-up and drop-off locations will be shared at a later date.
We also ask that everyone come willing to help and support others who may have never camped before.
Please note that transportation spots are limited. If you have a friend or family member attending who can drive, we strongly encourage them to do so. This will allow transportation opportunities for members who may not otherwise be able to attend.

Individuals with mobility disabilities and accessibility needs are warmly welcome. Please let us know in advance if you require any accommodations or assistance so we can help ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Food:

Dinner Saturday evening and breakfast Sunday morning will be provided.
You will be responsible for your own breakfast and lunch on Saturday.
If you have any food allergies or special dietary needs, please let us know ahead of time.
What to Bring:

Tent
Sleeping bag
Camping chair
Any additional personal camping supplies
Cost:

$40 per adult
$20 per child
This fee will help cover food and transportation costs.
