Hey Colorado Talk!
No more reminders after this one - because TODAY is the day! The Wild West
Chapter is taking over the Lakewood Grill, 8100 W Colfax Ave in Lakewood,
from 2 until 6 p.m. - or until the horses have run, the rellenos are gone,
and they're stacking chairs around us.".
Yes, it's Cinco de Mayo. Yes, it's Kentucky Derby Day. And yes, we
absolutely intend to make the most of both. There may or may not be some
friendly Derby shenanigans happening. We couldn't possibly comment. Wink.
Now let's talk food, because the Lakewood Grill has been at this since 1950
and they are not fooling around. Something for everyone:
Going big? The Monte Cristo is legendary - their number one most liked dish
for a reason.
Keeping it lighter? The Chicken Cobb Salad is a solid call, or go for the
Mexican Eggrolls as a starter - crispy, flavorful, and dangerously
snackable.
Want something in between? The Fajita Wrap packs marinated steak, grilled
peppers and onions, cheddar, and a habanero drizzle into something you can
eat with one hand while passionately explaining to everyone within earshot
exactly why your horse is going to win.
Whether you're washing it down with a cold margarita, a soda, or whatever
suits your fancy - you will be very well taken care of, because Crystal
loves us, and we love her!
