Hello everyone, my name is Diana Yochim from the Denver Chapter of the Nfb
of Colorado.  I'm inviting all the chapter members including the Denver
Chapter, Mile High and Wild West chapters.  My father passed away last
Monday, May 4th.  He is 98 years old and suffered with Alzheimer's disease
and high blood sugars.  I'll send you the obruiary description about my
father.
We invite to celebrate for the life of Ildefonso Rosar Chavez.  He was born
in Mexico City on January 23rd, 1928, he passed away on May 4th, 2026 at
Mountain Vista Senior Retirement Community Health Center in WheatRidge, CO

My father Ildefonso grew up in a Catholic church for many many years and
love to eat different Mexican food most of his life in Mexico.  Also, he
was a machine operator to make Alumium foils for 20 years.  He met my
mother MariaDe Carmen Chavez in December 1968 and got married on May 18th
1969.  My fahter Ildefonso came to United States in 1970 and became a chef
for a restaurnat for 10 years.  He does dishwashing for a few years.  My
father Ildefonso was a press operator at Denver Post in 1990 and retired in
1992.  He joined the foster Grandparents Program with Volunteers of America
for 20 years to help elementary school students at the Denver Public
Schools District.  He has may family gathering for many holiday seasons and
conversation with all the family and friends in Colorado.  He also joined
the Cursillo retreats in different Catholic churches.
Visitation and Funeral Rosary: Monday, May 18th from 3pm to 7pm at Olinger
Crownhill Obtuiary Cemetery 7777 W. 29th Avenue. WheatRidge, CO 80033
Funderal Mass service: 11am t Olinger Crownhill Obtuiary Cemetery Burial
ceremony at noon Reception is followed at Bernadette Catholic Parish from
1pm to 3pm 7240 W. 12th Avenue. Lakewood, CO 80214
