Celebrating the Life of
Ildefonso Rosar Chavez

With deep love, gratitude, and faith, we invite family and friends to join
us in celebrating the beautiful life of Ildefonso Rosar Chavez — a proud
capitalino from Mexico City whose life was filled with culture, music, art,
family, and devotion to God.

A deeply artistic and faithful Catholic man, Ildefonso found joy in his
retirement years drawing with colored pencils and paper with focus while
listening to music he loved. He appreciated beauty in everyday life — from
the flavors of Mexican food and the richness of his culture to the warmth
of family gatherings, laughter, and conversation.

He generously shared his artistic gifts through the Volunteers of America,
volunteering his time teaching students art and encouraging creativity and
self-expression through drawing.

Above all, he cherished God, his late wife Carmen, daughter Diana Flor,
son-in-law Arthur, son Joseph, and grandson Wesley. His spirit was one of
joy, hospitality, creativity, music, faith, and togetherness.

In his honor, we gather in prayer, remembrance, and celebration — with
music he enjoyed and moments he would have loved to see shared among family
and friends, including dancing, storytelling, laughter, and fellowship.

All events from Monday through Tuesday will be held on the Crown Hill
Grounds at:

Reception / Celebration of Life with Music

Following the burial, family and friends who RSVP are warmly invited to
gather for music, coffee, pastries, fellowship, and celebration as we honor
a life filled with love, artistry, faith, and culture.

Due to limited reception seating and venue accommodations, RSVP is
respectfully required for the reception and celebration of life. Once
reception capacity is reached, RSVP availability will close.

Attire & Colors

Formal attire is respectfully requested.
Preferred colors include ivory or “De Colores” inspired attire, celebrating
warmth, faith, family, and the vibrant spirit of life.
